Job Summary

We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-Time Barista/Cashier to join our cafe team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality coffee and food items, providing exceptional customer service, and managing transactions accurately. The ideal candidate will have experience with POS systems, a passion for coffee, and strong time management skills to ensure smooth daily operations in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages and food items following company standards Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for accurate order processing and cash handling Greet customers warmly, take orders, and provide excellent customer service Handle cash transactions, process payments, and give correct change using retail math skills Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in food preparation and serving areas Restock supplies as needed and ensure the cafe remains organized and inviting Assist with food handling, basic food preparation, and serving duties as required Manage time effectively to serve customers promptly during busy periods Uphold food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures at all times

Requirements

Previous barista experience or coffee industry knowledge is preferred Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS is a plus Strong customer service skills with a friendly attitude Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and sales transactions Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures Ability to work part-time hours with flexibility for shifts during busy periods Prior experience in food service or retail environments is advantageous Good communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.30 - $24.45 per hour
