Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate individual and dedicated Barista to join our team in creating a warm and inviting coffee shop experience for our customers. As a Barista, you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and beverages while providing exceptional customer service. Your role will involve engaging with customers, managing orders efficiently, and ensuring the main coffee shop remains a clean and welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and other beverages according to established recipes and standards. Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system to process transactions efficiently. (after training) Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including tables, counters, and equipment. Assist with food handling in compliance with food safety standards. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, syrups, milk, and other supplies; communicate needs to management as necessary. Uphold food safety practices during food handling and preparation to ensure a safe environment for customers. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Engage with customers to create a friendly atmosphere that encourages repeat visits.

Requirements

Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with patrons. Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately and efficiently. Time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours. Experience in food preparation or handling is preferred; knowledge of food safety practices is a plus. Familiarity with retail math concepts is beneficial for managing inventory and sales. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail. The willingness to learn and follow policies; we are willing to train the right candidate.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $12.00 per hour
