Overview

As a Barista, you will play a key role in creating a welcoming atmosphere for our customers while preparing and serving high-quality beverages and food items. Your enthusiasm for coffee and customer service will contribute to a positive experience for our guests, ensuring they return time and again. There is the possibility for standard employment with this position.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items according to established recipes and standards. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting customers warmly, taking orders accurately, and addressing any inquiries or concerns. Operate cash registers efficiently, handling cash transactions with precision while maintaining accurate cash handling practices. Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the bakery Complete opening and closing checklists Adhere to food safety guidelines and regulations to ensure the highest quality of products served. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods while fostering a positive work environment. Roll pastry dough and bake pastries as needed.

Skills

Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers. Experience in cash handling and operating cash registers effectively. Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately. Knowledge of food safety practices within the food industry is preferred. Previous experience in a cafe or similar environment is a plus but not required. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail. A genuine passion for coffee and willingness to learn about different brewing methods and beverage preparation techniques. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds on occasion. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must maintain good hygiene and a clean appearance (short nails, remove piercings, jewelry, etc). Must be punctual and dependable.

Additional Details

Starting pay is $10 per hour plus card/cash tips. Schedules are flexible.

Pay: $12.00 - $18.00 per hour
