Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages with precision and flair. Engage warmly with customers, taking orders and providing personalized recommendations to enhance their experience. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS efficiently for order processing, cash handling, and sales transactions. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe area, including food preparation stations and seating areas. Follow food safety protocols and proper food handling procedures to ensure quality and compliance. Manage time effectively during busy periods to serve customers promptly while maintaining accuracy in order fulfillment. Handle cash register operations with accuracy, including cash handling and basic math calculations for transactions. Assist in food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring adherence to food industry standards. Support inventory management by restocking supplies and monitoring product freshness. Contribute to a positive team environment by collaborating with colleagues to meet service goals.

Requirements

Previous barista experience or background in coffee service is preferred but not required; enthusiasm to learn is essential! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and positively with diverse guests. Excellent time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Knowledge of food safety standards, food handling procedures, and basic math for cash handling and retail math calculations. Ability to stand for extended periods, walk comfortably around the cafe environment, and lift moderate loads when necessary. Basic understanding of food preparation techniques within a cafe or food service setting is advantageous.
