Overview

We are seeking a friendly and efficient

Barista

to join our vibrant cafe team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for coffee, excellent customer service skills, and experience in food and beverage preparation. This role offers an opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where attention to detail and a positive attitude are essential. Prior experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is preferred, along with strong time management skills and a background in food handling and service.

Duties

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks according to established recipes and standards Operate POS systems including square POS processing and cash handling Provide exceptional customer service by greeting guests, taking orders, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities Maintain cleanliness and food safety standards in the cafe area, including food preparation and food handling procedures Restock supplies, monitor inventory levels, and ensure the cafe is well-organized throughout shifts Assist with food preparation tasks as needed, ensuring quality and presentation standards are met Follow health and safety guidelines related to food service and food safety regulations Engage with customers to promote sales of products and enhance their overall experience

Experience

Previous barista experience is Required, especially familiarity with coffee preparation techniques Experience with food service or retail environments demonstrating strong customer service skills Knowledge of POS systems is advantageous Basic math skills for cash handling, retail math, and transaction accuracy Ability to manage time effectively in a busy cafe setting while maintaining high-quality service standards Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and teamwork
