Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Barista to join our team in a vibrant cafe environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in customer service and a love for coffee. As a Barista, you will be responsible for crafting high-quality beverages, providing exceptional service, and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for our customers. Your role will involve working with various POS systems and maintaining food safety standards while delivering an outstanding cafe experience.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and food items with precision and care. Operate Aloha POS or Micros POS systems to process customer orders efficiently. Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cafe, including workstations and dining areas. Provide excellent customer service by engaging with customers, taking orders, and addressing inquiries. Handle cash transactions accurately, ensuring proper cash handling practices are followed. Assist in food preparation and serving while adhering to food safety guidelines. Manage time effectively during peak hours to ensure timely service without compromising quality. Collaborate with team members to create a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and high performance.

Experience

Previous barista experience or strong coffee knowledge is preferred but not mandatory. Familiarity with POS systems (Agilysy) is advantageous. Demonstrated skills in customer service within the food industry or retail environment. Basic math skills for accurate cash handling and sales transactions. Knowledge of food safety regulations and practices related to food handling and preparation is essential. Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced setting.
