We are currently on the lookout for a creative and inspiring Barista to lead our coffee program at Necessary Purveyor, located in the Ponce City Market Campus at Scout Living.

In this position, you will oversee the success of the barista operation, ensuring that every detail is addressed and that the team collaborates effectively to enhance the guest experience and serve unforgettable meals. We are working with a popular coffee brand to represent them and our products in the Atlanta market.

ABOUT YOU:

You have a passion for food and coffee and possess a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

A post-secondary diploma or degree is a plus.

Hotel Operational experience is a plus.

You have advanced knowledge of coffee operations, are a strong leader, and have a proven record of engaging guests and team members while achieving financial success.

You excel in both verbal and written communication.

You are adaptable and willing to meet the demands of a full-time operation.

Necessary Purveyor was established in Miami, FL, in 2018. Initially starting as a well-known sandwich shop in our city, we are now evolving into a full-scale restaurant and market. Our Atlanta operation plans to accommodate 400 Hotel Rooms, 3 meal segments, and a market style concept approach. The people we work with are the most vital part of our daily operations. General Overview:

As the Barista you will be responsible for preparing and serving high-quality coffee and espresso drinks to our guests. You will work closely with the restaurant team to ensure an excellent guest experience, maintain a clean and organized work area, and provide outstanding customer service.

Key Responsibilities:



Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, including espresso, cappuccinos, lattes, and other specialty beverages according to standard recipes and specialty recipes you have created. Ensure that coffee and espresso machines are functioning properly and maintained regularly. Greet customers in a friendly and professional manner, take orders, and provide personalized recommendations when necessary. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including the coffee station, dining area, and utensils. Monitor inventory levels of coffee beans, milk, syrups, and other ingredients, and assist in ordering supplies as needed. Assist in maintaining the restaurant's atmosphere by keeping the space clean, inviting, and conducive to a pleasant dining experience. Collaborate with kitchen and service staff to ensure timely and efficient service during busy periods. Comply with all health and safety regulations, including proper food handling, sanitation, and cleanliness protocols. Attend training sessions to stay updated on new coffee trends and techniques. Demonstrate excellent customer service, resolve any customer complaints, and maintain a positive attitude at all times.

Qualifications:



Previous experience as a Barista or in a similar customer service role preferred. Strong knowledge of coffee preparation, espresso machines, and coffee beans. Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Friendly and approachable demeanor with a strong commitment to customer satisfaction. Basic math skills for handling and processing transactions. Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 pounds. Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
Must possess a Food Handler Safety Training Card

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Contract, Temporary

Pay: $10.00 - $14.00 per hour
