This job is perfect for someone who has experience cutting hair in a predominate male clientele location (I.E. Supercuts, Sport Clips etc.) but wants to earn a good living and a much better commission rate.

We are a small 4 chair barber shop in a beautiful small town abutting the UConn community and have a VERY expansive clientele.

Job Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Barber or Hairstylist to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about barbering and have a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service.

Duties:

- Perform a variety of hair services including cutting, styling, and shaving
- Provide consultations to clients on suitable hairstyles
- Keep workstations clean and sanitized, as well as helping with general shop cleanliness
- Upsell products and services to clients
- Use salon software for appointment scheduling and client management
- Utilize straight razors for precise grooming services

Requirements:

- Knowledge of sanitation practices and state regulations for cleanliness and safety
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage clients and build rapport
- Ability to upsell products and services effectively
- Experience working at the front desk is a plus

Abilty to use straight razor is preferred, but not required. We will train the right candidate.

MUST possess a valid and current barber or cosmetology license in Connecticut.

2 years of minimum experience behind the chair.

This position is eligible for for part time or full time, Saturdays are required. The business is closed Sundays so you will always have that day off.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.35 - $50.00 per hour
