Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and energetic Bar-back to support our upscale Thai Restaurant and Lounge. The ideal candidate will assist bartenders/customers by maintaining bar supplies, ensuring cleanliness, and providing excellent customer service in a fast-paced setting. Experience in fine dining or nightclubs service is a plus. Must have a class 12 mixology Certificate. This role is essential for creating a seamless experience for guests and ensuring the bar operates efficiently.

Responsibilities

Restock and replenish bar supplies including liquor, mixers, garnishes, and glassware using POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS. Maintain cleanliness of the bar area, including cleaning glassware, utensils, and work surfaces to meet food safety standards. Assist bartenders with serving beverages and food orders during busy hours. Back up support by mixing drinks, taking orders as needed. Ensure all food handling and safety procedures are followed diligently in compliance with health regulations. Provide friendly customer service to guests, ensuring a positive experience in both nightclub and restaurant settings.

Requirements

Previous experience in food service or hospitality environments such as fine dining, nightclubs, or restaurant settings is preferred. Familiarity with POS systems like Toast POS is highly desirable. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during peak hours. Excellent customer service skills with an upscale professional attitude. Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling procedures. Ability to work flexible hours including nights; experience in the bar industry is a plus. Prior experience in bar-back or serving roles will be advantageous for success in this position.
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.66 - $18.50 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
