Responsibilities

Yarde Metals is looking for a bar puller to join our Operations Team. A bar puller fills customer orders by selecting a variety of bar stock material from inventory and preparing it for shipment.

SAFETY FIRST!

Safely operate forklifts, side loaders, and overhead cranes. Organize work tickets according to location and material type. Retrieve material from inventory system according to work ticket specifications. Verify material location, condition, and specifications on inventory tags to work ticket. Measure material using calipers, micrometers, and tape measures. Record and report inventory discrepancies. Tag drops and return to appropriate location. Prepare orders for shipment and construct skids using powered hand tools. Stage orders in assign locations for truck loading. Perform additional warehouse duties as instructed by supervisor.

Requirements & Qualifications

This is a SAFETY SENSITIVE

position: requires operating heavy machinery

High school graduate or equivalent preferred. Ability to read and understand English to follow work instructions. History of working

safely

and productively. Forklift operation experience strongly preferred. Basic math skills required to convert decimals and fractions and to accurately use and read tape measures and calipers. Dependable, punctual, and works well with others. Able to pass background check, drug screen, physical, meet physical requirements of the position. Willingness to work required overtime.
