ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:
Depending on experience, the essential duties, responsibilities, points of service and SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) outlined below may be taught and demonstrated during the Banquet Server training process.
Reports directly to the Banquet Coordinator / Manager
Requires dependable, punctual attendance and be willing to work flexible hours and attend mandatory meetings
Ability to read and understand BEOs (Banquet Event Orders)
Ability to Set Up Events according to the BEOs
Ability to Set Up Decor and Room Layouts according to the BEOs
Interacts positively and effectively with Guests and co-workers
Demonstrate exceptional and prompt Guest service
Offer a friendly and professional greeting to the Guests
Greet the Guests and when applicable, direct them to their seats (when applicable)
Make menu recommendations and describe the Daily Specials (when applicable)
Take the Guests' Food & Beverage orders
Process the Food & Beverage orders correctly into POS (Point of Sale) cashiering system
Serve the Guests Beverages, be attentive to refilling them as needed
Serve the Guests Food orders, be attentive to additional Guest requests
Assign tables; seat guests, distribute menus and cater to large groups (when applicable)
Accurately process in the POS the closing transactions for cash, credit card, comps etc
Adhere to all Food & Beverage related Health regulations
Adhere to all Company Policies and Banquet SOPs
All other duties as assigned

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High School diploma or equivalent.
A minimum of 6 months' experience working in a Restaurant and/or Banquet environment preferred.
Ability to operate POS cashiering systems.
AGE AND CERTIFICATIONS:
21 years of age or above.
LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and understand a variety of instructions in English
Fluency in English required.
Ability to communicate in Spanish a plus.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic Math skills.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
REASONING ABILITY:
Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. Requires the ability to understand and follow policies and standard operating procedures and be adept and proactive in problem solving.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk, see and hear. The employee is also regularly required to stand and/or walk for long periods at a time. Employee must be able to lift, carry, pull and push objects weighing up to 30 pounds. Requires to constantly lift and carry food trays weighing up to 30 pounds.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and busy. When on or near the casino floor or other designated areas, employee may be subjected to tobacco smoke.

The Banquet Server is responsible for creating a friendly, fun and professional atmosphere while ensuring our Guests have exceptional dining experience by providing excellent Banquet service.
