The Opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring full-time Banquet Housepersons to join our team at The Sheraton in Nashua, New Hampshire. As a Banquet Houseperson, you will work behind the scenes and on the front lines of catering events, to make each guest experience the best it can be.

Responsibilities

• Signs our necessary keys and assures that they are turned in at the end of each shift.
• Reviews all function sheets and sets up each function room accordingly. Ensures that all items required are provided prior to the scheduled time of the function.
• Continually checks meeting rooms for necessary items including ice, beverages, etc.
• Responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of all functional spaces.
• Breaks down all equipment at the end of the function and returns it to the appropriate location for storage. Arranges equipment as directed by the Supervisor.
• Reports any maintenance needs to the Head Banquet Houseperson.
• Assists in the set-up of all audio-visual equipment necessary for the function and ensures that all equipment functions properly. May instruct guest contact in the proper functioning of the equipment.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

• Ability to work a flexible scheduled that includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Previous experience in catering event role is essential.
• Must wear appropriate uniform and maintain personal cleanliness.

Physical Requirements

• Constant standing, walking, bending, reaching, and repetitive motions.
• Ability to maneuver between tables and around corners.
• Ability to lift, balance and move large food trays, weighing up to 35 pounds.
• Visual acuity and hearing sufficient to take orders and prepare checks.
• Ability to lift up to 35 pounds for set-up, service, and clean-up.
• Ability to stand or walk for the entire length of shift; may include walking up and downstairs.
