Summary

Receives and pays out money and keeps records of money and negotiable instruments involved in financial transactions by performing the following duties.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following.

Receives checks and cash for deposit, verifies amount, and examines checks for endorsements.

Cashes checks and pays out money after verification of signatures and customer balances.

Enters customers' transactions into computer to record transactions, and issues computer generated receipts.

Handles inquiries for checking, savings, and loan accounts.

Makes decision to place hold on accounts for uncollected funds.

Counts and verifies incoming cash.

Balances currency, coin, and checks in cash drawer at end of shift and compares totaled amounts with data displayed on computer screen.

Explains, promotes, and maintains knowledge of and cross sells products the Banks products and services.

Demonstrates expertise in FNB's Service Standards, ensures customer satisfaction, and confidentiality guidelines.

Supports the Company's overall mission, standards, policies, and procedures.

If employee is on resource team, they must have the ability to work in other areas and handle flex schedule.

If employee is Drive-Thru Teller must be able to work flex schedule.

If employee is Lobby Teller, must be able to handle more detailed transactions.

Other duties may be assigned.

Education and/or Experience



High school diploma or equivalent

Language Skills



Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Mathematical Skills



Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.

Reasoning Ability



Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.

Computer Skills



To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Horizon Database software.
