Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Ballet Dance Instructor to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in teaching Ballet and Pointe (at least 2 years) and experience working with children, fostering their love for movement and expression. This role involves teaching Advanced/Intermediate to Foundations level class for students ages 3 to 8 years old, creating engaging lesson plans, and contributing to the overall development of our students.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement creative dance lesson plans that cater to Foundations Ballet possibly through June 2026, summer, and for next season. Teach various dance styles and having competition experience is a plus, but feeling comfortable teaching ballet is a must and ensure students understand techniques, choreography, and performance skills. Foster a positive and encouraging classroom atmosphere that promotes self-expression and confidence among students. Assess student progress regularly and provide constructive feedback to help them improve their skills. Collaborate with the director to create cohesive programs that enhance the overall curriculum. Organize and participate in end of year recital, Company production, or other performance opportunities for students. Maintain a safe and clean environment for all participants during classes.

Qualifications

Experience in dance instruction or a related field is preferred (minimum 2 years) Background in theater or childhood development is a plus. Strong skills in lesson planning and curriculum development tailored for children's learning needs. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues. A passion for teaching and nurturing young dancers in their artistic journey.
