Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Bakery Team Member to join our vibrant bakery team. This role involves preparing, decorating, and packaging baked goods while ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality. The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking and food preparation, excellent customer service skills, and experience working in a fast-paced culinary environment. This position offers an opportunity to develop culinary skills and contribute to creating delicious baked products for our customers. hours are Sun 5pm-11pm, Mon Tues & Weds 8pm-2am and schedule is consistent to allow for other life responsibilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods, including bread, pastries, and cakes Decorate cakes and pastries with creative designs using current and learned decorating techniques Package baked items efficiently and attractively for retail display or catering orders Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bakery workspace in compliance with food safety standards Assist in food production tasks such as mixing, measuring, and assembling ingredients Ensure all food handling procedures meet health regulations and safety guidelines Support the team during special catering events or restaurant service as needed Operate bakery equipment safely and effectively, including mixers, ovens, and knives

Skills

Proven experience in cake decorating, baking, or pastry arts is preferred Strong knowledge of food preparation, food safety, and handling procedures Experience with food industry standards in a bakery or restaurant setting Excellent knife skills and proficiency in kitchen tools and equipment Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment Customer service skills to assist customers with product inquiries or special orders Basic understanding of food production processes and culinary techniques Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency in product quality Creative flair for decorating baked goods with attention to detail
Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 - $17.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 - 26 per week
