Pay Rate: $15.49 - $22.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Status: Full-Time / Part-Time
Job Summary:
If you are a self motivated, team player we want you!!The Bakery Associate assists in the production of breads, pastries, and other baked goods for sale, ensuring that all products meet company quality standards. Keeping inventory of products sold and needed for the next day is essential. We will train.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist in the preparation and production of a variety of baked goods, including breads, pastries, cookies, and specialty items.
Follow company-approved recipes, production schedules, and portion control standards.
Maintain accurate production logs and documentation.
Ensure all work areas, equipment, counters, display cases, and tools are clean, sanitized, and well-maintained in compliance with department cleaning schedules and sanitation guidelines.
Assist with receiving, unloading, checking in, breaking down, and storing bakery deliveries.
Support efforts to minimize shrink, control damages, and report shortages or overages to the Bakery Manager promptly.
Help maintain a fully stocked, appealing bakery department that meets customer demand and promotes sales.
Set up and refresh bakery displays and cases to ensure freshness, quality, and visual appeal.
Assist with setting up special order tables and seasonal displays during peak times and holidays.
Cooperate with coworkers and supervisors to ensure the smooth operation of the department and store as a whole.
Continuously work to improve performance, skills, and efficiency in assigned duties.
Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, the associate must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and be able to lift 25lbs.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Strong teamwork and communication skills.
Ability to follow recipes and written procedures accurately.
Attention to detail and commitment to product quality and food safety.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
Dependable, punctual, and customer-service oriented.
Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and OSHA standards preferred.
Education and Experience:
High School Diploma or GED (completed or actively working toward completion).
Prior bakery or food production experience preferred but not required.
Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
Frequent bending, lifting, and carrying up to 25lbs.
Exposure to variable temperatures, including refrigerated and hot environments.
