Duties

Prepare baked goods by following recipes and food safety guidelines, including slicing bread, assembling pastries, and handling food ingredients with care. Operate POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS to process sales accurately and efficiently. Provide exceptional customer service by greeting shoppers warmly, answering questions about products, and offering suggestions through upselling techniques. Manage cash handling responsibilities with precision, ensuring accurate transactions and balancing registers at shift end. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards by regularly cleaning workstations, utensils, and equipment in compliance with food safety regulations. Restock shelves and display cases with fresh baked items, ensuring attractive presentation and proper inventory levels. Assist with food handling duties including packaging products securely for customers and adhering to proper hygiene practices. Support bussing duties by clearing tables or work areas as needed to maintain a tidy environment. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth daily operations in a quick service or fast food bakery setting. Uphold safety standards related to food handling, sanitation, and workplace safety protocols at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in food preparation or a bakery setting is preferred but not required; we value enthusiasm to learn! Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS is a plus; training will be provided if needed. Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods. Experience in customer service roles within retail or food industry environments enhances your ability to connect with customers. Knowledge of food safety practices, sanitation procedures, and basic math for cash handling is highly desirable. Prior restaurant or cafe experience helps in understanding fast-paced food service dynamics; however, we welcome motivated learners eager to grow their culinary skills!
