We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Bakery Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a vital role in supporting the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that our products are prepared, displayed, and served to the highest standards. This position requires a passion for the food industry and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment.

Busy production bakery looking for a a few good people. Experienced baker/ cake decorator and front end customer service associates. Full or part-time but weekends and early mornings are a must. We are open Wednesday through Sunday. These are year-round positions.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including breads, pastries, and desserts. Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of the kitchen and bakery area according to health regulations. Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently while providing excellent customer service. Engage with customers to promote bakery products and assist with their selections. Monitor inventory levels and assist in restocking supplies as needed. Ensure that all products are displayed attractively and meet quality standards. Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during busy periods. Utilize time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively during peak hours.

Experience

Previous experience in a kitchen or food service environment is preferred but not required. Familiarity with cash handling procedures and retail math is beneficial. Experience in a cafe or quick service fast food restaurant is a plus. A background in culinary arts or related fields is advantageous. Strong organizational skills with an emphasis on sanitation practices. Ability to work collaboratively within a team while also managing individual responsibilities.
