Nanna's Cafe and Bread Co. is looking for a motivated and dependable
Baker's Apprentice
to join our team. This is a hands-on training position designed for someone who's passionate about baking and eager to build a long-term career in the food industry.
Over the course of
at least 90 days
, you'll receive direct training from our experienced bakers in everything from mixing and shaping dough to managing daily production. Upon successful completion of your apprenticeship, you may have the opportunity to grow into
future leadership or management roles
as part of our expanding team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in mixing, shaping, and baking a variety of gluten- and dairy-free breads, pastries, and other products.
Measure, prepare, and organize ingredients accurately according to recipes and production schedules.
Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work area at all times.
Support the baking team with prep work, dishes, and cleaning equipment.
Properly store and label ingredients and finished goods.
Help with packaging and labeling baked goods for retail or wholesale.
Follow all food safety, quality, and sanitation standards.
Collaborate with back-of-house staff to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications
Genuine passion for baking and learning the craft.
Strong work ethic, dependability, and attention to detail.
Ability to follow directions and work efficiently under supervision.
Must be a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.
Ability to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
Previous kitchen or bakery experience preferred but not required.
Must be willing to sign a
Non-Disclosure and Non-Compete Agreement
to protect proprietary recipes and baking methods.
