Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Baker Assistant to support our baking team in a fast-paced food production environment. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and baking with a strong focus on food safety and customer satisfaction. This role offers an exciting opportunity to develop skills while contributing to the creation of high-quality baked goods and desserts. Prior experience in the food industry, including kitchen or restaurant experience, is valued.

Responsibilities

Assist with decorating, assembly, and food presentation to ensure visually appealing products Support food production processes including baking, cooking, and food handling according to safety standards Prepare ingredients and assist with food preparation tasks such as mixing and portioning Package baked goods and desserts for retail or catering purposes with attention to detail Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment sanitation and storage Support catering events by preparing and arranging food items as needed Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and proper handling procedures at all times Assist with inventory management by monitoring supplies and notifying management of shortages

Qualifications

Previous experience in decorating or baking is preferred Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling techniques Experience with food production, preparation, and packaging in a commercial kitchen or restaurant setting Familiarity with culinary tools and equipment Excellent customer service skills when interacting with clients or team members Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards Kitchen experience within the food industry or catering services is advantageous Passion for baking with a keen eye for detail and presentation skills

Pay: $14.00 - $16.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 - 25.0 per week
