We are seeking a talented Team Member: FT Bagel Baker to join our dynamic team in our open kitchen. As a key member of our culinary hospitality team, you will not only be responsible for preparing the best bagels west of the Mississippi but you will also be expected to engage with our customers, answer their questions about the food, provide samples, provide assistance with online orders, and even deliver food to customers when needed. This position requires someone who is skilled in both culinary arts and customer service, with a strong desire to create an exceptional dining experience for our guests. This is a high volume and fast paced position that requires someone who has the right energy to keep up while maintaining the high quality standards of our food. Pay & Benefits:

Responsibilities & Duties:

Culinary Expertise-
  • Follow and comply with established baking procedures, including health and sanitation, and adhere to safe work practices
  • Daily cleaning includes: wiping down bake area, cleaning kettle, sweeping oven shelves, sweeping and mopping the bagel area, cleaning bagel boards and racks, cleaning and organizing the walk in-cooler, restocking seeds
  • Restock and set up the next shift; refrigerator and freezer product must be rotated for \xe2\x80\x9cfirst in, first out;" communicate to management dough counts and any products that need to be ordered at the end of each shift
  • Collaborate with kitchen team to ensure efficient and timely food preparation
Customer Engagement-
  • Engage with customers in a friendly and professional manner, creating a positive and welcoming atmosphere
  • Actively answer customer questions about the food, ingredients, and cooking techniques, providing detailed and accurate information
  • Offer samples of dishes to customers, showcasing the quality and flavors of our cuisine
  • Assist customers in placing their orders, recommending menu items based on their preferences
  • Serve the dining area and hand out online orders
  • Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring that customers have a memorable dining experience
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Reliable and punctual for early morning shifts
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Self-starter, able to work efficiently with and without direct supervision
  • Great time management and fast and efficient completion of tasks
  • Comfortable working with very hot ovens and boiling kettles
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Collaborate with team members
Preferences:
  • Bilingual (Spanish/English)
  • Ability to be on your feet for a long period of time
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to work weekends
