Plumbing Contractor is currently seeking experienced backhoe operator for the West VA & PA areas.

We are looking for a

that has new residential experience in sewer & water piping installation and construction background experience who specializes in driving and operating

commonly used to move large amounts of earth or to dig holes and trenches.

Responsibilities:

Perform daily safety, maintenance and servicing checks to ensure proper functioning of the equipment. Responsible for safe slopes on excavations and proper barricading. Locate utilities and other buried lines prior to digging (test pitting). Perform minor servicing and maintenance and refer major problems to the supervisor. Knowledge of trenching and shoring standards. Keep time and material records on a daily basis. Knowledge of aggregate sizes and classifications. Knowledge of weight requirements of loads. Adherence to safe practices, procedures, worksite or traffic laws. Lift and move materials and objects and operate according to signals from others. Digs, spreads and levels dirt, gravel or sand. Ability to follow directions. Performs additional duties as assigned.

Requirements:

Minimum of two years of experience. Must have physical ability to operate in a strenuous work environment Possess physical strength to operate heavy and power-driven equipment, Ability to communicate with other employees.
