The Apis Hotel & Restaurant
The Apis Hotel & Restaurant is a multi-level concept featuring a full-service restaurant, multiple event spaces, a stunning rooftop bar, and 6 premium guestrooms. Opened in July of 2020, The Apis has been designed as a premier hospitality destination, located roughly halfway between Chicago, IL and Milwaukee, WI, and just blocks from the shores of Lake Michigan.

The Apis Back Server
The Apis Back Servers assist the service team in providing guests with an exemplary experience. They are expected to give service that is knowledgeable, approachable, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful at all times while upholding company standards & values in a busy, fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
Provide knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, efficient, energetic, and thoughtful service at all times
Support the service team with ongoing table & floor maintenance, including, but not limited to: water service, pre-bussing, clearing & cleaning of tables, and the resetting of tables with proper tableware
Support the service team by prioritizing the running of food & drinks in an ongoing capacity throughout each shift
Have the ability to recite basic menu knowledge for all categories of food & drink
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of menu items including major components, allergens, unfamiliar ingredients, & appropriate utensils for service
Support team members in the completion of their duties to ensure satisfaction of all guests before, during, and after service
Assist expeditor by communicating necessary dining room information
Assist other team members by communicating 86s, menu changes, and other food related information
Respond appropriately to any guest requests or issues by communicating effectively with the proper server or manager
Assist in the cleaning and polishing of all tableware
Receive instruction from multiple sources and prioritize tasks effectively
Stocking, organizing and preparing service related items
Additional service and/or operational tasks as determined by management
Be knowledgeable of the restaurant and its history
Communicate respectfully with coworkers at all levels
Adhere to grooming and dress code standards

Physical Demands
The physical demands for this position are seeing, hearing, speaking, reaching, frequently lifting up to 25 pounds, occasionally lifting up to 50 pounds, standing for 4 to 8 hours, bending, and moving intermittently during working hours.
