Perform industrial powder painting applications. Prepare materials for painting by cleaning, masking, and painting to customer specifications.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS
This position reports to the Finishing Supervisor and must communicate effectively with other members of the company.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTION
Follow safety procedures.
Follow written or verbal work instructions.
Wear proper personnel protective equipment (PPE).
Follow correct grounding procedures of equipment and operator in powder booth area.
Use proper setting for powder paint gun to provide proper powder coverage while eliminating excess powder waste.
Set oven for proper time and temperature cure schedule per work instructions and powder data sheet specifications.
Utilize proper powder handling and storage procedures.
Measure finished Mil thickness & document on inspection report.
Inspect finished product for product quality.
Properly maintain and keep equipment clean.
Must be able to closely follow instructions and company policies.
Maintain a clean work environment and follow 5-S procedures.
Must by punctual.
Must be able to work in a team environment.
OTHER FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
A minimum of two years of work-related skill, knowledge, or experience.
Must have knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, industrial coating applications and other techniques for maximizing the effective finishing of goods.
Knowledge of powder finishing equipment.
