What will you be doing?

• On behalf of a global financial services organization, develop, create, and modify general computer applications software or specialized utility programs.
• Analyze user needs and develop software solutions.
• Work in an Agile environment to develop, test, and promote applications to live environments in a sprint based agile methodology.
• Understand complex problems put forth by business and provide design solutions that meets the customer requirements and needs.
• Apply high level coding standards and practices to deliver production grade code.
• Develop micro services, which are highly efficient and scalable.
• Deliver solutions in a continuous integrated and continuous delivery dev ops integrated environment with the focus on test automation.
• Analyze and debug any production issues with the focus of providing immediate solutions to fix any problems and to minimize customer impact.
• Recognize, select, and apply appropriate design patterns, frameworks according to business benefit, maintainability, and delivery priorities and constrains.

What we\xe2\x80\x99re looking for:

Minimum of a Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science or related field and at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience as a Senior Software Engineer or related occupation. In the alternative, will accept a Master\xe2\x80\x99s degree, or foreign equivalent, in above related fields, and at least three (3) years of experience as a Senior Software Engineer or related occupation. Must have at least five (5) years of post-baccalaureate progressively responsible experience with each of the following required skills: Use Java and J2EE to develop highly performant and scalable applications; Develop micro services using Java and REST, which are highly efficient and scalable; Use messaging systems such as Apache Kafka, IBM MQ to develop event driven applications to capture real time customer events and convert them to data for predictions and modelling; Oversee micro services to break down complex functionalities into tiny pieces of simple and highly efficient services for better performance and maintainability; Utilize Spring and Spring Boot to develop readily deployable web/batch applications within a short period of time; Build and utilize source code management tools, such as Maven, Jenkins, Bitbucket, to build Java applications into units deployable to public cloud; Use software development lifecycle tools, such as JIRA, Confluence, and SonarQube, for day-to-day activities; and Deploy highly scalable, serverless, and containerized applications on private and public cloud platforms such as AWS, Cloud Foundry.
