Overview


We are seeking a skilled Avionics Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in avionics working in a heavy maintenance environment (MRO) on fixed wing aircraft (commercial experience is highly preferred). This is a long-term/permanent career opportunity - NOT a short term contract.

Duties

:

Inspection and Maintenance:

Conduct routine inspections of all avionics and electrical systems to ensure they are in good working order.

Troubleshooting:

Use diagnostic tools, such as oscilloscopes and voltmeters, to identify and diagnose malfunctions in complex systems.

Repair and Replacement:

Repair or replace malfunctioning components, assemblies, or wiring using hand tools or soldering irons.

Installation:

Install new electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft.

Testing and Calibration:

Set up and operate ground support equipment to perform functional flight tests. Calibrate systems to ensure they meet performance standards and regulatory requirements.

Record Keeping:

Accurately document all maintenance and repair work performed on the aircraft.

System Upgrades:

May be involved in upgrading systems to incorporate the latest technological advancements.

Support and Collaboration:

Assist with mechanical/electrical removals and installations and work with other technicians to fix systems and perform operational checks.

Requirements:



NO A&P REQUIRED!

4+ years of experience

working as an Avionics Technician in a

heavy maintenance environment on fixed wing aircraft

(commercial aircraft experience is preferred) Must be able to provide your own

tools

Must be able to pass a drug screen & 10 year criminal history background check Must be able to commute to or relocate to the Tucson, AZ area prior to starting work (tax free per diem offered to those relocating see "employment details" below) Must be able to start work within 4 weeks of completing this application Must be able to work assigned shift (see "Employment Details" below) Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language

Must be located in the US AND be Eligible/Authorized to work in the US WITHOUT VISA SPONSORSHIP


Employment Details:



Compensation:

$37/hr

Overtime:

UNLIMITED (Most work 52-60hrs a week)

Per Diem:

Up to $880/week in tax free per diem - available to those who qualify

Tools:

Basic tools are required day 1 (tool list available once you complete this application)

1st Shift A:

Sun-Tues + every other Wed (6:30 AM)

, 1st Shift B:

Thurs-Sat + every other Wed off (6:30 AM)

, 2nd Shift:

Thurs-Sat + every other Wed off (6:30 PM)

Sun-Tues + every other Sat off (6:30 PM)
Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 65 per week
