Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented, and forward-thinking

Avionics Engineer

with

AutoCAD

and Microsoft Office experience. The ideal candidate is passionate about aviation, excited by new technology, and ready to contribute to innovative projects, including

Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) development

.

Responsibilities

Design and integrate advanced avionics systems for aircraft modifications. Draft, review, and validate

Engineering Orders (EOs)

and technical documentation, including wiring diagrams, schematics, installation drawings, and test procedures. Support

STC data development

, including certification plans, weight & balance reports, wiring diagrams, and test plans. Assist in avionics system testing, troubleshooting, and problem resolution. Collaborate with customers, suppliers, and internal teams to gather requirements and resolve issues. Stay current on emerging avionics technologies and regulatory changes to recommend innovative solutions. Work with DERs, DARs, and ODA representatives to support

FAA and EASA certification

efforts. Ensure compliance with FAA, EASA, RTCA DO-160/DO-178, and other relevant standards.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in

Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field

. Proficiency in

Microsoft Office Suite

(Excel, Word, Outlook). Proficiency in

AutoCAD

, including wiring diagrams and installation drawings. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

Preferred Qualifications

Minimum

5 years' experience

in avionics systems engineering, including

2+ years supporting STC projects

. Familiarity with drafting and reviewing STC documentation. Knowledge of

FAA Part 23/25 certification requirements

. Working knowledge of avionics systems and emerging aviation technologies.

Pay: $30.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
