Smart Systems is looking for a motivated A/V enthusiast with some installation/construction experience to join our team. We are a Chattanooga-based company that designs, builds, integrates, manages, and supports custom Residential and Commercial systems that provide audio/video, lighting, temperature control, automation, networking, security, access control, and CCTV collaboration solutions.

This is a full-time position with daily report to headquarters and travel to job sites. You will primarily be working in a team to install custom, in-house designed systems. Work environments will involve electronic and low voltage systems in both residential and commercial settings.

Essential Functions

Be at least 18 years of age with previous installation/construction experience. Be able to provide visual samples of your previous installation/construction work Have your own set of standard tools and be generally "handy" Have experience mounting TVs Be comfortable cutting and drilling holes in walls efficiently and safely Must be able to lift, reach, bend, stoop, and safely lift and easily maneuver items frequently weighing up to 100 pounds Must have valid Driver's License. Background test and drug test may be required Occasional overnight travel Ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines and standard accepted practices Excellent time management skills, such as prompt arrival for work and adherence to a tight installation schedule Dependable transportation, valid driver's license

Responsibilities

Install equipment for new and existing customer Audio/Visual, Camera, and CCTV systems, and Networks based on a written scope of work . Use hand and power tools. Complete work orders efficiently and complete required job paperwork daily, thoroughly documenting work completed, and materials used. Use company approved installation methods and techniques Be able to work in a professional environment as well as outdoors, roof tops, basements, crawl spaces, and on man lifts. Maintain and clean your assigned work vehicle
