Job Summary:
RESPONSBILITIES:
Professional and Interpersonal Relations,
1. cooperates with building principal, assistant principal and coaches
2. develops rapport with coaching staff within the school,
3. develops positive relationship with participants,
4. develops positive relationship with student body,
5. develops positive relationship with faculty,
6. develops positive relationship with parents and community,
7. develops positive relationship with game officials,
8. develops positive relationship with opponents,
9. employs appropriate conduct during games,
10. employs appropriate conduct during practices,
11. attends coaching meetings as required
12. participates in activities that foster professional growth and development,
13. motivates staff and players toward desired goals, and commands respect by example in appearance, manners, behavior and language.
Coaching and Related Areas,
14. develops high caliber and quality instruction,
15. teaches fundamental skills,
16. handles athletic injuries,
17. cares for equipment,
18. supervises participants and disciplines team appropriately,
19. designs quality organization of practice sessions,
20. supervises managers and other support personnel,
21. initiates game organizational skills,
22. follows board of education policies,
23. devotes time and energy to coaching duties,
24. follows end of season procedures,
25. performs other duties as assigned by principal/coach.
Qualifications:
+ Possess the knowledge, skills and ability to successfully carry out responsibilities of the position.
+ Current CPR/AED certification
+ Pass all Background Checks
