Responsibilities



Lead and motivate the service team, including technicians and service advisors, to achieve high performance standards and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Oversee daily shop operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, workflow management, and timely completion of vehicle repairs and maintenance. Manage all aspects of automotive diagnostics, repairs, and services such as oil changes, brake repairs, transmissions, suspension work, tire services, alignments, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts, air brake systems, auto body repairs, and more. Develop and implement effective upselling strategies to maximize revenue while maintaining transparency and integrity with customers. Ensure accurate service writing and auto estimating to provide clear communication of repair needs and costs. Maintain strict adherence to safety protocols and quality standards across all shop activities. Handle customer inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly to foster loyalty and satisfaction. Accurately manage cash handling procedures during transactions. Coordinate with parts departments to ensure availability of necessary components for timely repairs. Monitor technician productivity and provide ongoing coaching to enhance skills in automotive diagnostics and repair techniques. Stay current with industry trends, new technologies, and manufacturer specifications to ensure the shop remains at the forefront of automotive service excellence.

Requirements



Proven experience in dealership or automotive service management with a strong background in auto repair operations. Extensive knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical systems, transmissions, oil changes, brake systems, suspension components, tire services, alignments, diesel engines, shocks & struts, air brakes, auto body repair processes, and related fields. Hands-on mechanic experience is highly preferred to effectively lead technical teams and understand complex repair procedures. Demonstrated success in upselling services while maintaining customer trust through honest recommendations. Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Proficiency in auto estimating software and service writing practices. Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Excellent leadership skills with a focus on team development and motivation. Valid driver's license with a clean driving record; relevant certifications such as ASE (Automotive Service Excellence) are advantageous. Knowledge of dealership operations including vehicle maintenance schedules like oil changes, tire rotations, alignments, suspension work, brake repairs, transmission servicing, diesel engine repairs, shocks & struts replacement, air brake systems inspection & repair. Pay: Up to $140,000.00 per year
