Automotive Service Manager

About the Role
This isn't just a customer-facing position--you'll be the backbone of the service department, ensuring smooth operations between sales, service, and vendors. You'll oversee everything from vehicle reconditioning and technician workflow to parts procurement and internal communications.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership:
Directly manage service staff and mechanics, providing technical guidance (transmissions, brakes, alignments, diesel engines, etc.) while fostering a collaborative environment.
Internal Coordination:
Partner with sales teams to prioritize vehicle recon timelines and ensure seamless handoffs between departments.
Vendor & Inventory Mastery:
Negotiate with parts suppliers, track inventory levels, and keep costs in check--no unnecessary downtime.
Quality Control:
Enforce strict safety and repair standards, conducting spot-checks to ensure every vehicle meets the dealership's high bar.
Process Optimization:
Refine workflows to boost efficiency (think: faster turnaround on diagnostics, repairs, and transport).
