Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Automotive Service Manager to lead our service department and ensure exceptional customer service while maintaining high standards of automotive repair and maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in auto service management, mechanical knowledge, and a passion for the automotive industry. This role requires excellent leadership skills, the ability to upsell services, and a commitment to fostering a positive work environment.

Responsibilities

Oversee daily operations of the service department, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity. Manage and train service technicians, providing guidance on automotive diagnostics and repair techniques. Uphold high standards of customer service by addressing client concerns and ensuring satisfaction with services rendered. Develop and implement strategies for upselling additional services to customers. Conduct regular inspections of vehicles to ensure quality repairs and maintenance are performed. Maintain accurate records of services performed, including auto estimating and service writing. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies related to automotive repair. Collaborate with the sales team to promote vehicle maintenance programs and special offers. Handle cash transactions accurately while maintaining financial integrity within the department.

Requirements

Proven experience in dealership settings or as an Automotive Service Manager. Strong background in auto service management with knowledge of vehicle maintenance, automotive repair, and diagnostics. Experience with mechanical systems including transmissions, air brakes, alignment, suspension, tire service, diesel engine repair, shocks & struts, brake repair, oil changes, and auto body repair. Excellent customer service skills with a focus on building relationships with clients. Proficiency in auto estimating and service writing processes. Strong leadership abilities with experience in managing a team of service technicians. Cash handling experience is preferred. A valid driver's license is required.
