Job Description



Automotive Service Director needed for growing new car dealership in the Montgomery, AL market. The department is in fine condition but there are little details slipping through the cracks on a regular basis that could be avoided with better organizational structure and accountability which is why the dealer is looking for a process driven automotive Service Director to lead their department to the next level. This is with a family-owned dealership group and a reputable organization. The Service Director hired will have the support from upper management to lead their department to new heights. It is important that the Service Director hired is great at providing an excellent customer experience for each customer walking into the Service Department and making sure CSI is a priority.

The successful candidate is a highly organized and process driven Service Director that sees the big picture and doesn\'t get lost in the details. This is a great opportunity for an experienced Service Director that leads by examples, is a true mentor to their team, and brings a positive and consistent attitude to work each day. The successful candidate will have a proven track record of growing underperforming service departments and, ideally, import dealership experience. It is important that the Service Director hired has great CSI and promotes a goal-oriented work environment for their team. Must understand numbers and KPIs to drive profit and properly manage the department. Lastly, must be a good person with a proven track record and be looking for a long-term opportunity.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the service team, including hiring, training, and supervising technicians and other service staff
  • Oversee the scheduling of repairs and maintenance with customers and technicians
  • Ensure ROs are completed and closed out in a timely and accurate fashion
  • Manage the budget for the service department and analyze financial data to identify areas for improvement
  • Monitor ELR and HRO properly
  • Ensure CSI is in the green and customers have a great experience as to attract repeat and new clients into the future
  • Handle customer service inquiries and address any concerns or complaints
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency and customer satisfaction within the service department
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends and best practices, and implement new technologies and processes as needed
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions
  • Participate in team meetings and collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth operation of the dealership
  • Other duties as assigned
Compensation:
  • Compensation range will be in the $110,000 to $130,000 range to start depending on experience, performance, and track record with true room for growth and the goal is that this person should be earning in the $150,000 range as the department grows.
