Overview

We are seeking a professional and customer-focused Automotive Service Advisor to join our dynamic dealership team. The ideal candidate will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repair services. This role involves managing service appointments, providing accurate estimates, and ensuring a seamless customer experience. Candidates with dealership experience, automotive diagnostics knowledge, and strong sales skills will thrive in this position. The Service Advisor plays a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction while promoting our comprehensive range of automotive services.

Responsibilities

Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns Write detailed service orders and estimates using automotive service management software Communicate effectively with technicians to relay customer concerns and ensure timely repairs Upsell additional services such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, suspension repairs, brake repairs, and transmission work Provide accurate auto estimating for repairs including diesel engine repair, auto body repair, air brake systems, shocks & struts, and other mechanical services Assist customers in understanding their vehicle's condition and recommend appropriate maintenance or repairs Handle cash transactions accurately and process payments efficiently Maintain thorough knowledge of current automotive repair techniques, parts availability, and warranty procedures Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through professional service writing and follow-up

Experience

Dealership experience preferred but not required; relevant background in auto service management or automotive diagnostics is advantageous Hands-on mechanic experience or service technician background is highly valued Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance including oil changes, tire service, alignments, suspension systems, brake repair, transmissions, shocks & struts, diesel engine repair, and auto body repair Proven ability in upselling services and automobile sales to enhance dealership revenue Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients Experience with auto estimating software and service writing processes is preferred Familiarity with cash handling procedures and maintaining detailed records of transactions

Pay: $40,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
