We are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Automotive Service Advisor to join our team. In this role, you will act as the primary point of contact for customers, providing exceptional customer service while facilitating communication between clients and our service technicians. Your expertise in automotive repair and diagnostics will help ensure that customers receive accurate information about their vehicle's needs, leading to high levels of satisfaction and repeat business.
Duties
Greet customers promptly and professionally as they arrive at the service department.
Listen to customer concerns and document their vehicle issues accurately.
Provide detailed explanations of recommended services and repairs, ensuring customers understand the work required.
Coordinate with service technicians to ensure timely completion of repairs and maintenance.
Prepare accurate service estimates and invoices for customers.
Follow up with customers regarding the status of their vehicles during service.
Maintain a clean and organized service area, promoting a professional environment.
Stay updated on automotive technology trends, dealership offerings, and manufacturer guidelines.
Assist in managing customer relationships to foster loyalty and trust.
Requirements
Proven experience in a customer service role within the automotive industry is preferred.
Familiarity with automotive repair processes, including diagnostics, tire service, and auto body repair.
Strong communication skills with an emphasis on customer interaction.
Ability to work collaboratively with service technicians and other team members.
Knowledge of automotive sales practices is a plus.
Experience in service writing or auto service management is highly desirable.
A passion for the automotive industry and commitment to providing exceptional customer care.
High school diploma or equivalent; further education in automotive technology is a plus.
General Motors Service Advisor experience is a plus.
