Automotive Painter

to join our professional and dedicated team.

Position Overview



The Automotive Painter is responsible for preparing and applying paint to vehicles in accordance with factory standards and Mullins Body Shop procedures. This role is essential to delivering the flawless finishes and professional results our customers expect. From surface preparation to final inspection, the ideal candidate is highly skilled, detail-oriented, and committed to excellence.

Key Responsibilities



Prepare vehicles for paint by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces as required Mix and apply automotive paint to match original colors and finishes Perform all phases of automotive painting including base coat, clear coat, blending, and touch-up work Inspect completed paint jobs to ensure quality, consistency, and color match Maintain clean, organized, and safe paint areas including the spray booth and equipment Operate spray guns and other refinishing tools in accordance with safety guidelines Communicate with body technicians, estimators, and management to ensure proper job flow Follow all environmental and safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials Assist in identifying any additional work needed before or during the painting process Take part in final detailing steps, including buffing and polishing as needed

Qualifications



5+ years of professional experience in automotive painting or collision repair Proficient in the use of paint mixing systems, spray guns, and paint booths Strong attention to detail and an ability to match colors precisely Familiarity with OEM paint procedures and refinishing guidelines Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Must be reliable, safety-conscious, and committed to producing high-quality work Must be at least 18 years old with a valid driver's license

Physical Requirements



Ability to stand, bend, and move for extended periods of time Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs Regular exposure to dust, paint fumes, and high noise levels Use of protective equipment, including respirators and coveralls, is required

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $21.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
