About the Role
Summit Fleet
is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented
Automotive Detailer
to join our fleet operations team. This role is responsible for performing full interior and exterior detailing on previously leased or rented vehicles to ensure they meet our quality and cleanliness standards. The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, maintains a high level of accuracy, and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Perform complete automotive details--interior and exterior--on fleet vehicles, including:
Vacuuming, shampooing, and interior cleaning
Cleaning and conditioning seats, dashboards, consoles, and door panels
Washing, drying, and waxing exteriors
Cleaning windows, mirrors, and exterior surfaces
Ensure all detailing tasks are completed without the use of mechanical hand tools.
Move vehicles between work areas, lots, and storage locations safely and efficiently.
Assist with organizing, positioning, and arranging vehicle inventory on the lot.
Capture high-quality photographs of rental returns and document any visible damage, wear, or discrepancies in condition based on company standards.
Maintain accurate records of vehicle condition and communicate findings to leadership or the appropriate department.
Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, and overall condition, reporting concerns to leadership.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and quality standards.
Perform other duties as assigned by leadership to support fleet operations.
Qualifications
Previous experience in automotive detailing or similar roles preferred but not required.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Ability to pass pre-employment background and drug screen.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
Ability to work efficiently in a physically demanding environment (bending, standing, reaching, lifting up to 50 lbs).
Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, punctual, and adaptable to changing priorities.
