About the Role:

We are seeking a highly organized and proactive

Automation Project Manager

to oversee automation projects from initial concept through final delivery. This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. You will coordinate schedules, order materials, communicate directly with customers, and prepare accurate project proposals.

Key Responsibilities

Project Management

Develop, maintain, and manage detailed project schedules to ensure on-time delivery Coordinate cross-functional teams including internal engineering and external customer communications Track project progress, changes, and general activities Coordinate daily project tasks and general expectations to engineers assigned to project; in conjunction with customer expectations and needs Other tasks as assigned

Procurement

Identify and source required components for automation systems Issue purchase orders and monitor lead times to prevent delays Work with suppliers to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials

Customer Communication

Serve as the primary point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle. Including initial customer contact and meetings Conduct regular project update meetings and provide clear, professional communication Address customer questions, changes, and concerns promptly

Quoting & Budgeting

Prepare detailed project proposals based on customer requirements and engineering input Estimate materials, labor, and timelines accurately to support pricing decisions Track project budgets and ensure proper execution

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Industrial Technology, or related field (preferred) 2+ years of experience in automation, manufacturing, or technical project management Strong understanding of automation equipment, mechanical/electrical components, and industrial systems Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation

On-Call Rotation

One week per month you're on call Must respond to customer within 1 hour; Must be able to get into the office within 2 hours if onsite support is required Flat on-call pay + overtime for any actual call time
