We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Parts Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive parts management and possess excellent skills in sourcing, supplier management, and demand planning. This role is crucial in ensuring that our dealership operates efficiently by maintaining optimal inventory levels and providing exceptional service to our customers.
Duties
Manage the procurement of automotive parts and supplies, ensuring timely availability for service operations.
Utilize OEM systems and CMMS to track inventory levels, orders, and supplier performance.
Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate pricing, terms, and delivery schedules for parts procurement.
Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify necessary parts for repairs and maintenance.
Assist in demand planning by analyzing usage trends and forecasting future parts requirements.
Provide support to the automotive service team by sourcing parts quickly and efficiently.
Maintain accurate records of inventory transactions and assist with periodic audits.
Ensure compliance with dealership policies and procedures regarding parts management.
Qualifications
Proven experience in automotive service or dealership environments is preferred.
Strong understanding of OEM systems and their application in parts management.
Experience with supplier management and procurement processes is highly desirable.
Familiarity with CMMS tools for inventory tracking and management is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Strong communication skills to interact with suppliers, service teams, and customers professionally.
Ability to perform automotive diagnostics to assist in identifying required parts accurately.
