Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Auto Body Technician to join our automotive repair team. The ideal candidate will have experience in auto body repair, vehicle restoration, and auto painting, with a strong background in using various hand and power tools. This role involves repairing, restoring, and maintaining vehicles to the highest standards, ensuring customer satisfaction and vehicle safety. Prior dealership experience and mechanical knowledge are highly valued. Responsibilities

Repair and restore damaged vehicle bodies using auto body repair techniques Perform auto painting, including paint spraying and detailing to achieve a high-quality finish Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and other welding techniques for sheet metal fabrication and repairs Conduct auto glass replacement and repairs as needed Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to shape, align, and assemble vehicle components Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to bodywork and mechanical systems when necessary Assist with auto restoration projects, ensuring all work meets safety standards and customer expectations Estimate repair costs accurately using auto estimating software and communicate effectively with customers Heavy lifting of vehicle parts or components safely during repairs or assembly processes Maintain a clean and organized work environment adhering to safety protocols

Skills

Proven experience in auto body repair is preferred Proficiency in MIG welding, welding, and sheet metal fabrication Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and vehicle maintenance Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment such as paint sprayers Experience with auto glass installation, auto painting, and auto restoration projects Ability to perform detailed auto body work including sanding, detailing, and finishing touches Knowledge of auto estimating procedures for accurate job costing Excellent customer service skills for effective communication with clients Ability to handle heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail Mechanic experience is a plus for comprehensive vehicle repair capabilities
Pay: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
