Cassill Motors is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented
Automotive Body Shop Technician
to join our team. The Auto Body Technician will be responsible for repairing, restoring, and refinishing vehicles to manufacturer standards. This is a
salaried position
, offering stability and consistent pay regardless of workload. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, a commitment to quality craftsmanship, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a safe work environment. Salaried pay will be based on experience and training.
Key Responsibilities:
Inspect vehicles for damage and determine the appropriate repair methods.
Perform structural, body, and cosmetic repairs using appropriate tools and techniques.
Repair dents, scratches, panels, frames, and other exterior components.
Remove and replace damaged parts such as bumpers, fenders, hoods, and trim.
Sand, grind, and prepare surfaces for painting and refinishing.
Ensure all repairs meet safety and quality standards in line with manufacturer and insurance requirements.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean, organized, and in safe working order.
Collaborate with estimators, painters, and other team members to ensure efficient workflow.
Stay current with industry repair techniques, tools, and safety protocols.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent (vocational training in auto body repair preferred).
2+ years of professional experience in collision repair or auto body work.
I-CAR or ASE certification is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of auto body repair tools, equipment, and materials.
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, blueprints, and repair estimates.
Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
