: Auto Body Painter Helper

The Auto Body Painter Helper supports the lead painter and body shop team in preparing vehicles for refinishing and paint application. This role assists with

sanding, masking, priming, and surface preparation

; mixing paint under supervision; maintaining clean and organized work areas; and ensuring all tools, materials, and paint equipment are properly stocked and maintained. Responsibilities include performing basic bodywork prep such as removing trim, cleaning surfaces, taping and masking vehicle components, and supporting the painter in achieving high-quality, factory-grade finishes. The Painter Helper also documents work as required, follows all safety and environmental procedures, and ensures compliance with shop standards, OSHA guidelines, and manufacturer specifications. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to follow instructions, physical stamina, and a strong commitment to producing consistent, high-quality work. Training is provided if needed, and the role offers opportunities for skill development and advancement within the body shop.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
