Job Description


Robert Half has an immediate opening with a law firm based in Washington, DC, specializing in general civil litigation with a focus on business disputes, government contracts, domestic relations, and administrative law. The firm is dedicated to providing high-quality legal services to our clients and achieving successful outcomes in complex trial and appellate litigation. We are currently seeking an Associate Attorney with 3-5 years of experience to join our team [experience MUST be in Litigation, ideally involving government contracts].

Job Responsibilities:

  • Participate in all aspects of litigation, including drafting legal documents, client interaction, attending depositions, and representing clients in court appearances.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis to support case strategy and prepare for trial and appellate proceedings.
  • Assist senior attorneys in case management and preparation, including document review, discovery, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with a team of attorneys and legal professionals to develop effective legal strategies and arguments.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in administrative and government regulations that may impact client cases.
  • Maintain accurate and organized case files and documentation.

Requirements

Requirements:
  • Admitted to the District of Columbia Bar.
  • 3-5 years of experience as a full-time practicing attorney in complex litigation.
  • Additional licensure in Maryland and/or Virginia is a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of general legal principles in contracts, constitutional law, real property, domestic relations, torts, and administrative law.
  • Demonstrated experience in motions practice, discovery disputes, trial preparation, and legal research.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and thrive in a client-focused, team-oriented environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload, prioritize tasks, and meet strict deadlines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe, Lexis/Nexis, Westlaw, and standard electronic discovery platforms (e.g., Concordance or Relativity)
