We are seeking a skilled Technician to join our team, responsible for providing high-quality field service and maintenance support. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and experience in equipment repair, ensuring that all systems operate efficiently. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and an understanding of computer hardware, networking, and low voltage systems.
Responsibilities
Perform field service tasks, including installation, maintenance, and repair of various equipment.
Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
Read and interpret schematics to understand system layouts and functionalities.
Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to diagnose complex issues related to computer networking and hardware.
Maintain accurate records of service performed, parts used, and any necessary follow-up actions.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their equipment needs.
Requirements
Proven experience as a service technician or in a similar role within the technical field.
Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in equipment repair and maintenance.
Familiarity with computer hardware components and networking principles.
Ability to read schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting purposes.
Proficient in using an ohmmeter and other diagnostic tools for electrical testing.
Experience working with low voltage systems is highly desirable.
Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
