Job Description

We are a well known toys, games, and books store, serving the Triangle community for 40+ years. We are seeking dynamic Associates or Junior Associates to join our team at our new location, opening at Park West Village Mall (1408 Village Market Place, Morrisville, NC 27560). The ideal candidates will have a passion for sales, excellent communication skills and work ethics, and a customer-centric approach.

Both full-time and part-time positions are available.

Position Summary:

The Associates are responsible for smooth functioning of the store through efficient and effective customer services, sales, merchandising, inventorying, store up keeping, and other duties. They comply with company programs, policies, and procedures, and take on and complete business assignments as directed by their Superior.

Essential Job Responsibilities:



1. Deliver exemplary customer services - greet and direct customers, treat all customers with respect and courtesy, answer customers' questions about products, and inform customers about product features, offering opinions and recommendations when appropriate.

2. Reflect positive attitude, behavior, and attributes.

3. Create and promote positive, friendly, and cheerful atmosphere in the work place, and represent the store with professionalism and enthusiasm.

4. Maintain the store as a clean, tidy and organized place to provide customers with a pleasant shopping environment.

5. Acquire and demonstrate knowledge of store products including new products to build sales.

6. Execute purchases and returns at the cash register while checking for accuracy, and deliver on gift wrapping services for customers.

7. Handle deliveries, put merchandise in the POS system, and organize and display merchandise on the sales floor promptly and appropriately.

8. Monitor and replenish stock levels on the sale floor - Ensure the store is fully merchandized all the time, and all store areas and shelves are organized and representable to customers.

9. Proactively act on Safety awareness of anything in store that may be hazardous to employees or customers.

10. Promptly handle customer complaints, questions, or concerns in a professional and friendly manner, and seek help of the Superior when needed in resolving such issues.

11. Participate in and conduct Annual Inventory counts as and when directed by the Superior.

12. Assist the Superior with special projects and fully commit to those projects.

13. Learn and acquire new skills required for efficient functioning of the store.

14. Complete additional duties, as assigned.

Required Skills and Qualifications:



Excellent verbal communication skills, exhibiting ability to effectively communicate with customers, peers, and management

Friendly, professional demeanor

Basic math functions - Ability to calculate percentages and ratios

Possess sense of urgency and a thirst for learning

Ability to work a flexible schedule based on the store/company needs

Ability to multitask, while being attentive to customers and remaining flexible to the needs of the business

Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for extended periods

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:



Experience in retail sales or customer service

Familiarity with point-of-sale (POS) system

Experience working in a team-oriented environment

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: $12.00 - $14.00 per hour
