Job Role:

Program Manager (with strong experience in PPM Tools like Clarity, Planview etc.)


Primary Skills:


Oversee internal and external systems application development projects within a program from inception to successful implementation including project objectives scope and level of effort and project strategies and plans Assist with getting projects off the ground keeping them on track and on budget and resolving issues as well as monitoring progress against the plan Accountable for tracking and reporting on Project Financials including forecast to approved budget resource allocations approval of resource timesheets using a PPM tool Lead Agile processes for the program to ensure delivery and releases are within scope Monitor Agile metrics for the program and responsible for ongoing development of their agile teams continued improvement of development processes and product quality and quantity of work delivered Develop consolidated project plans specifying high level goals strategy staffing scheduling risks contingency plans and allocation of available resources Monitors analyze and assesses deviation from the project plans ensures the achievement of project milestones Ensures that all project plans are realistic and are maintained Ensures that project methodologies are followed and that all mandatory project work products are completed for projects within program Agile Experience as a Scrum Master has led Agile ceremonies Sprint Zero planning PI sprint planning daily standups retrospectives demos etc. Lead Agile processes for the program to ensure on time delivery and releases are within scope Experience as a Scrum Master in using an Agile Board to track work user stories tasks helping the team see progress identifying bottlenecks and managing the Sprints workflow ensuring transparency and adherence to Scrum principles Monitor Agile metrics for the program and responsible for ongoing development of their agile teams continued improvement of development processes and product quality and quantity of work delivered

Exhibits Leadership Effectiveness Assists with the assignment of project personnel Directs and coordinates activities of project resources to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget Confers with project resources to provide technical advice and resolve problems Provides leadership and motivation to project teams throughout the project life cycle Creates and maintains an engaged work environment by ensuring clearly defined roles and responsibilities Mentors project resources to enable delivery Owns program results and assists teams to deliver performance within the range of targeted expectations Balances team priorities with the overall program and corporate priorities Partners with Business Assumes key overall responsibility for ensuring that sponsors have easy access to information that is useful to them Works closely with other project managers and business sponsors to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs Leads the effort across projects in creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs Convey Program Management Status Follows established standards and procedures for project reporting and documentation Utilizes Agile tracking tool Azure Dev Ops for monitoring agile project performance and reporting status Reviews status reports prepared by project personnel and modifying schedules and plans as required Prepares project status reports and keep management customers and others informed of project status and related issues Coordinates update meetings to communicate plans status and issues to higher levels of management



Required Work Experience and Education:



Bachelor's degree in information management or equivalent work experience 10 years in program management including large complex programs Experience in tracking program financials using a PPM like tool e.g., Clarity, Planview Solid understanding of software development life cycle models as well as knowledge and experience of both Agile and traditional project management principles and practices and the ability to blend them together in the right proportions to fit a project Experience in leading IT project teams that contain vendors onshore offshore Developers Business Analysts Architects Data Analysts QA etc. A proven track record of successfully implementing projects using Agile methodologies Agile Certifications PMP certifications desired P&C Insurance experience desired



Technical Skills (Must Have):




Clarity, Planview or like PPM tool Agile Scrum Master experience Agile Project Management tools such as Azure DevOps Rally Jira etc. Proficient in Microsoft Project PowerPoint Excel Proactive takes initiative accountable self-motivated Strong written verbal communications skills including meeting facilitation

Benefits



Compensation range: $130,000.00 to $150,000.00 per year
