As the Associate Milling Specialist, you will be responsible for transforming raw wood into finely crafted components for our custom millwork + cabinetry. This role requires expertise in operating milling machinery to ensure that each piece is produced to the highest standards of precision + quality. This position is ideal for someone with a talent for woodworking who is looking to grow their skills in a fast-paced + quality-driven environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operate CNC + milling machines to produce custom wood components according to project specifications + drawings.
Perform routine maintenance on milling equipment to ensure optimal performance + minimize downtime.
Inspect finished components for accuracy, ensuring all pieces meet our high standards of quality + craftsmanship.
Select and prepare raw materials for milling, ensuring efficient use of resources + minimal waste.
Adhere to all safety protocols + guidelines to maintain a safe working environment.
Work closely with other team members, including designers + assembly specialists, to ensure seamless production flow + project success.
REQUIREMENTS
Previous experience in a woodworking or mill working environment is preferred, but not required. On-the-job training will be provided.
Proficiency in reading blueprints + technical drawings. Basic knowledge of CNC operation is a plus.
Strong attention to detail + a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to lift heavy materials, stand for extended periods + perform repetitive tasks.
Strong communication + interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently + as part of a team.

Problem-solving skills:?This position will use strong analytic skills to proactively identify + resolve issues they encounter on the job. They need the ability to work collaboratively with others, resolving any issues that arise + contributing to a positive team environment.
Mechanical aptitude:?As an Associate Milling Specialist, you will need proficiency in using various tools, troubleshooting + performing minor repairs, understanding basic mechanical concepts like tool calibration + equipment setup. You should also be able to read technical drawings + blueprints, adjust machinery settings for desired outcomes + know different wood types.
