The Team:

The North America Consumer Products team delivers strategic category plans and drives licensing partnerships across Mattel\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s portfolio of brands, including Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, Thomas & Friends and UNO. We engage consumers by extending our iconic brands & franchises through consumer products.

The Opportunity:\xc3\x82

Mattel is seeking a motivated Associate Manager, Consumer Products to join our Consumer Products organization based in El Segundo, CA at our corporate headquarters. The Associate Manager, Consumer Products will support the growth of the Softlines business through new initiatives and strategic focus areas.

What Your Impact Will Be:\xc3\x82

  • Leads the development and implementation of marketing and other programs to enable licensing businesses to meet/exceed objectives.
  • Assists in the negotiation of complex contracts and monitors contractual obligations; may also negotiate new contracts.
  • Conducts financial and market analysis of product categories to make recommendations on partnership and product development strategies.
  • Organizes the product development process; maintains schedules & timelines for product design & development.
  • Identifies and evaluates new business and product opportunities through research and analysis of trends and market opportunities; maintains communications with key partners to understand performance/trends, business opportunities and issues.
  • Collaborates with brand integrity team to resolve distribution, product development and product performance issues and assists licensees to achieve financial goals; acts as liaison between outside partners and internal departments.
  • Supporting Softlines team in various activities including marketing, PR, retail development, event management, and buyer relationships
  • May be responsible for Softlines licensee and category management (Accessories, footwear, and baby)

The annual base salary range for this position is between $85,600 and $129,000.
**This range is indicative of projected hiring range, however annual base salary will be determined based on a candidate\xc3\xa2\xc2\x80\xc2\x99s work location, skills and experience.
