Position Summary:
The Associate Information Security Engineer will assist with implementing, and maintaining, cybersecurity toolsets to improve the overall security posture for the network. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of cybersecurity best practices and applying defense-in-depth techniques.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Engineer, implement, and monitor security measures for the protection of computer systems, networks and information
- Maintain security solutions with upgrades, agent management, and configuration changes to ensure proper functionality.
- Apply firewall configurations, such as creating DMZs, NATs, SSL decrypt policies, or ACLs
- Automate and integrate security solution through custom scripting
- Prepare and document security hardening for windows/linux and incident response procedures
- Maintain and regularly update security documentation
- Integrate security systems using APIs and custom scripting
- Troubleshoot basic security solution issues
- Assist in technical investigations as needed
- Optimize technologies and processes for Security Analysts
- Other duties as assigned
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor\'s Degree in Computer Science is preferred
- Minimum 1-3 years of work experience in information security and cybersecurity
- Security certifications are strongly preferred: SANS, ISC2 and others
- Experience in SOX, GLBA and FFIEC regulatory compliance and top 20 security framework
