ASSOCIATE \xe2\x80\x93 GLOBAL MARKETS - PS&F REPO SALES ASSISTANT (JOB NUMBER: COO000513)


Business Overview: The Associate - Repo Sales Front Office Support is responsible for client service and trade support functions, which include management reporting, trade processing, resolution of customers\xe2\x80\x99 discrepancies, controls and ad-hoc inquiries and investigations supporting the sales/trading. Responsibilities:
  • Risk & Position Monitoring
o Monitor trading positions and risks for accuracy throughout the day. o Coordinate elective corporate actions with clients and Repo Trading Desk: monitor the positions up to the deadline, partner with traders on best election strategy for BNPP and the clients, then reach to the clients for their input.
  • Analytical and Operational Support to Repo Sales/Trading Desk
o Book, process and validate trades in Front Office booking systems as soon as deals are executed, so that Bank\xe2\x80\x99s risk/position is updated real-time and applicable regulatory obligations (Dodd Franck, EMIR, FINRA, etc) are met. o Follow-up with relevant departments to ensure all aspects related to post-trade processing, (incl. trade confirmations, Risk/P&L, clearing and settlements) are successfully handled vis-\xc3\xa0-vis of the clients. o Resolve all internal queries from the Trading desk or various Partner Functions (IT, Middle & Back Offices, Legal, Risk\xe2\x80\xa6) on client transactions executed by Desk. o Request the creation of new financial instruments and new counterparties in BNPP Systems to the Operations Static Data teams. o Improve Repo IT framework: report issues/bugs and propose IT enhancements to make the platform more scalable and resilient. o Maintain proper documentation of the Repo Front Office operational processes.


Minimum Required Qualifications: o Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree or foreign education equivalent in Finance, Economics, or Mathematics. o Minimum of two years of experience in a Front or Middle Office Sales Support role within Global Markets supporting Secured Financing Transactions.
Preferred Qualifications: o Experience in developing and growing revenues with small client accounts. o Demonstrated knowledge in US Repo Markets and its industry infrastructure (Bilateral, Tri-Party, DTC, Euroclear\xe2\x80\xa6). o Demonstrated knowledge in trade booking, validation, market lifecycle events, and settlement/confirmation process for secured financing transaction products; including Corporate Bonds, Treasuries, MBS, ABS, and CLO securities. o Knowledge of Client KYC requirements and new account opening/creation process. Ability to liaise with clients and Back Office to ensure accounts and documentation are in good standing. o Working understanding of the applicable regulations (EMIR, Dodd Frank, FINRA, FATCA\xe2\x80\xa6). o Demonstrated expertise using Excel and VBA to simplify and automate manual Front Office processes. o Knowledge of system architecture (front to back workflow, pricers and risk management systems) for secured financing transaction products. o Demonstrated commercial and collaborative attitude. o Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal), including in client communication. o Analytical mindset and problem solving. o Very strong multi-tasking capability. o Attention to detail. o Ability to work well under pressure.

The expected starting salary range for this position in New York is between $115,000 to $130,000 annually. The actual salary may vary based upon several factors including, but not limited to, relevant skills/experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business line, and geographic/office location.
